Development Update

🚧 Dev Update: Still Alive Edition 🚧

Current status: Still alive, still coding, coffee consumption at dangerous levels ☕

What I’ve been up to:

• Finally got those WebM videos working without making everyone's computer explode (took me way longer than I'm willing to admit publicly)
• Completely scrapped the main menu design because it looked like I made it during a fever dream. The new one actually looks like a real game now instead of... whatever that was before
• Testing the gacha system and honestly it's more addictive than I expected. I keep rolling for my own scenes which is probably not normal developer behavior
• Making sure Rika looks good in every angle

The good news:

Everything is coming together pretty smoothly! The relationship progression feels natural instead of "press X to romance," and I haven't broken anything major in like... a week? That's progress!

The "soon™" news:

We're genuinely getting close to release (I THINK?). I know every indie dev says that and then disappears for 6 months, but I'm talking "weeks not months" close. Just gotta stop being a perfectionist about every single pixel and actually ship the thing.

Thanks for sticking around while I figure out how to make video games! Next update will probably have actual screenshots that don't look like placeholder art...

And no, people aren't actually DMing me "when game"... but emotionally, they are.
